This is your weekly roundup of Maryland non-revenue action. Let's take a look at their chances to win some hardware.

No. 2 seed Women's Basketball

The Terps fell to seventh-seeded Washington Monday night at home in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Maryland never got into a good rhythm offensively. Washington frustrated the Terps with their size and length, and Brionna Jones never got involved. The Terps had a poor shooting night and it cost them. Maryland's season, once filled with promise and the dream of a third consecutive Final Four, ended in disappointment and tears on the Xfinity Center floor.

Record this week: 0-1 (74-65 loss to Washington in the second round of the NCAA Tournament)

Record this season: (31-4, 16-2)

Grade for the week: F. The Terps failed to defend their home court against an upstart Huskies team. After sweeping the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles, Maryland fell far short of its goal to make a third straight Final Four.

Title Chances: Maryland's season is over.

No. 1 Women's Lacrosse

Maryland beat No. 16 Penn in a midweek road game before returning home and crushing James Madison over the weekend. The Terps raised over $10,000 for juvenile diabetes research at their JDRF fundraiser game against James Madison. Taylor Cummings and Megan Whittle are playing out of their minds right now. Penn went on a 6-0 run in the last 15 minutes of the game to make the score close. That should serve as both a warning and a wake-up call. The Terps can be beaten if they don't play hard and don't play consistently for a full 60 minutes.

Record this week: 2-0 (12-8 win over No. 16 Penn and an 18-6 win over James Madison)

Record this season: (8-0)

Grade for the week: A. The Terps keep winning in convincing fashion, but I'm taking some points off for their last 15 minutes against Penn.

Title Chances: 5. Maryland is the favorite to win the Big Ten title.

No. 6 Men's Lacrosse

Maryland picked up a second straight win over a ranked team. The Terps had a nice break after beating Albany over spring break, and the time off paid off. Connor Kelly had a career-high six points with three goals and three assists, and Matt Rambo scored four goals. The Terps have to turn around and travel to Penn on Tuesday before starting Big Ten play this weekend.

Record this week: 1-0 (11-8 win over No. 12 UNC)

Record this season: (5-2)

Grade for the week: A+. Maryland beat a tough rival for its second straight win over a ranked opponent.

Title Chances: 5. Maryland was picked to finish second in the conference this season, but the Terps have a great chance to win the Big Ten.

Baseball

Maryland is struggling right now. Mike Shawaryn gave up five runs in five innings in the series opener against Iowa. If he isn't dominating teams, the Terps probably won't be going back to the NCAA Tournament. Taylor Bloom and Brian Shaffer had great performances this weekend, but Bloom's seven shutout innings were wasted when Iowa scored four runs in the eighth. Some days it's the hitting. Some days it's the pitching. This was not a good start to Big Ten play.

Record this week: 2-2 (10-9 win over Liberty, 8-1 loss to Iowa, 4-1 loss to Iowa and a 4-1 win over Iowa)

Record this season: (11-12, 1-2)

Grade for the week: D. Maryland continues to struggle with consistency this season. The Terps lost their first Big Ten series of the year.

Title Chances: 2. I don't like Maryland's chances to win the Big Ten because they have yet to show consistency this season.

Gymnastics

The GymTerps were off this week. They won't be going to the NCAA Regionals as a team, but they'll be sending three gymnasts to Athens, GA.

Record this week: N/A

Record this season: N/A

Grade for the week: N/A

Title Chances: Zero.

Softball

The Terps had another bad week. They got swept by the Buckeyes in their Big Ten opener and lost in both embarrassing and demoralizing fashion. Pitching was supposed to be a strength for a team this season, but it hasn't looked that way recently.

Record this week: 0-3 (12-2 (5) loss to Ohio State, 4-3 loss to Ohio State and a 13-4 (5) loss to Ohio State)

Record this season: (7-23, 0-3)

Grade for the week: F. Maryland got mercy-ruled twice and lost on a walk-off home run. This was a bad week.

Title Chances: Zero.

Track and Field

The Terps dominated at the Maryland Invitational, winning the women's team title by more than 200 points. The men's team took third. The Terrapins won 12 different individual events on the women's side.

Women's Tennis

After losing the doubles point, Maryland was winning on all six singles courts in the first sets. However, Illinois rallied and battled its way back. The Terps had two convincing wins at No. 3 and No. 6 singles, but Illinois was able to overcome deficits in the four other singles matches.

The best overall match came at No. 2 singles. After winning the first set 6-2, Maryland's Arnelle Sullivan blew a 4-1 lead in the second set. Her opponent won five straight games to tie the match at one set apiece and then won the third set in tiebreakers. Sullivan has been great as a true freshman, and she's going to be a pretty special player by the end of her career at Maryland.

Record this week: 0-1 (5-2 loss to Illinois)

Record this season: (6-8, 3-2)

Grade for the week: F. The Terps' NCAA Tournament chances took a massive hit with their loss on Sunday.

Title Chances: Zero.
