Who had the best week in Maryland athletics? You decide!

James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

Lindsey Schmeiser's record-breaking home run wasn't enough to stop Maryland baseball's Nick Cieri from taking Terp of the Week honors. We had some standout performers this week.

Our contestants for this week's Testudo Times Terp of the Week poll are women's lacrosse's Megan Whittle, women's basketball's Tierney Pfirman, baseball's Mike Shawaryn and Nick Cieri, softball's Madison Martin and men's golf's David Kocher.

Tierney Pfirman, Women's Basketball

Pfirman scored a career-high 29 points and pulled down a career-high 13 rebounds to lead Maryland to their second straight Big Ten Championship.

Megan Whittle, Women's Lacrosse

Whittle scored her fourth goal of the game, a go-ahead game-winner with 3:39 left, to help the top-ranked Terps beat No. 5 UNC in Chapel Hill.

Mike Shawaryn, Baseball

Shawaryn pitched eight scoreless innings in the first game of the series against Rhode Island, allowing just one hit while striking out five.

Nick Cieri, Baseball

Cieri's grand slam in the fifth inning helped Maryland take the rubber game in their series against Rhode Island.

Madison Martin, Softball

The Terrapins played 38 innings of softball in their five games this week. Martin pitched in 23.1 of them with a 0.90 ERA and struck out 23 batters.

David Kocher, Men's Golf

Kocher, who is ranked in the top 20 in the country, tied for fourth at the Puerto Rico Classic, finishing at 6-under-par.
