How'd She Get to College Park?

Small was a star coming out of high school. She was the 2013 Florida Gatorade Player of the Year and was ranked as the 19th best player in the country by ESPN's Hoopgurlz.com. As a freshman for the defending National Champions in a backcourt that featured Odyssey Sims and Niya Johnson she found limited playing time. She suffered a high ankle sprain before the start of her sophomore year and continued to struggle to find court time for Coach Kim Mulkey and transferred to Maryland following the end of her sophomore season.

Career Highlight

Scored 10 points and a career high 5 assists in her freshman season against Texas Tech.

Dream Season

Anecdotal reports say that Small brings tremendous energy and pushes the Terps in practice. She will need to continue to do that and to develop chemistry with her teammates as she awaits the 2016-17 season.

2015-16 Prospectus

Due to NCAA transfer regulations, Small will sit out the 2015-16 season.
