The Maryland football team has its new head coach, in the form of former Michigan defensive coordinator DJ Durkin. At a Thursday press conference at Maryland's Gossett Team House, Durkin and Maryland athletic director Kevin Anderson faced the cameras together for the first time.
Here's Durkin's presser:

Durkin is Maryland's 36th head coach, coming immediately via Michigan but with stops beforehand at Florida, Stanford and Bowling Green, where he worked under current Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer. At Michigan, he worked under head coach Jim Harbaugh.
Durkin's press conference was an interesting scene. Gossett's Glazer auditorium was pretty well packed in, which is a stark contrast to the tiny media crowds that scattered throughout the room after Maryland games this season. Durkin came along with his wife, Sarah, and two children, Abigail and Luke.
Next on Durkin's agenda: Filling out an assistant coaching staff, working on Maryland's 2016 recruiting class and then, finally, diving into next season.
