After un-enrolling from the university due to an "eligibility issue" in September, former 4-star defensive tackle Adam McLean will re-enroll at Maryland. Jeff Ermann of Inside Maryland Sports first reported the news Sunday, which McLean confirmed to Testudo Times.
McLean was Maryland's top recruit in the class of 2015. He enrolled with the rest of his class for the fall semester but was expected to redshirt his freshman season after suffering a knee injury as a senior at Quince Orchard High School. After the university announced he had un-enrolled, McLean quickly took to Twitter to calm down any worried fans.

Since then, he's been extremely active on social media. He tweeted that new South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp recruited him this year while he was Auburn's defensive coordinator, and started a campaign to recruit Alabama assistant Aazaar Abdul-Rahim to Maryland. It appears his campaign worked, as Abdul-Rahim is now Maryland's defensive backs coach.
His return to the program is made more important in the light of Quinton Jefferson's decision to leave early for the NFL. It's not immediately clear whether or not McLean will participate in spring practice as he continues his rehab his knee.
