Oddsmakers expect visiting Wisconsin to rain on Maryland's homecoming parade next weekend. The Badgers are 13-point favorites against the Terrapins for the teams' game at Byrd Stadium on Saturday, via Odds Shark.
Maryland (2-6, 0-4 Big Ten) is coming off a loss to Iowa this weekend. The Badgers are 7-2 and 4-1 in league play, but their record belies a generally mediocre season. They do not have a quality win, having done little more than run over some of the Big Ten's worst teams. Saturday will conclude a five-game stretch in which the Badgers, hilariously, will have played Nebraska (bad), Purdue (bad), Illinois (bad), Rutgers (really bad) and Maryland (bad). The Badgers were ranked No. 19 in the AP Poll on Sept. 27 but dropped out after losing to Iowa and have not since reappeared.
Wisconsin shellacked Maryland in the teams' first ever meeting last fall, at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. The Badgers won that game, 45-7, in one of the uglier losses of Randy Edsall's tenure as head coach.
