DeMatha running back Lorenzo Harrison has signed his National Letter of Intent, and will join high school teammates Terrance Davis, Tino Ellis and D.J. Turner at Maryland.
Harrison is the No. 53 running back in the class of 2016 and the No. 24 player in Maryland, according to 247Sports Composite. He was Maryland's first verbal commit back in September 2014.
He will join fellow incoming freshmen Jake Funk and LaDerrien Wilson in Maryland's backfield next season. The three freshmen will be competing for playing time alongside Ty Johnson and transfer Trey Edmunds. The Terps graduated leading rusher Brandon Ross, and second-leading rusher Wes Brown was suspended indefinitely near the end of the season.
Harrison also received offers from Virginia, Hawaii and Old Dominion. He received some minor fame in October when he did this:
