We're one week out from National Signing Day.

Happy Hump Day, Terps fans. Here's what's going on, one week before National Signing Day.

Maryland football and recruiting

Maryland three-star quarterback target Tyrrell Pigrome wrapped up some hardware for his high school season at Clay-Chalkville in Alabama.

More details on Pigrome's win here.

To get Pigrome, Maryland's going to have to beat out Justin Fuente and Virginia Tech. He's rated the No. 32 player in Alabama and the No. 65 athlete in the 2016 class. It's been said (including by some of our most knowledgeable recruiting commenters here) that Fuente wants Pigrome as a slot receiver, not a quarterback. Maryland should hope so, because Fuente's record with quarterbacks like Andy Dalton (from his time at TCU) and Paxton Lynch (Memphis) would make Pigrome a challenging catch for the Terps.

Five-star DE Terrell Hall: "I could see myself going to" Alabama – Rivals
Hall (who rates four stars on the 247Sports Composite) had nice things to say about his official visit to Alabama last week. But he also speaks well of Maryland, including that he enjoyed a recent visit to College Park more than he expected. This one requires a subscription to read in full.
