The Maryland men's basketball team fell to No. 10 in the Associated Press Poll and No. 9 in this week's Coaches Poll after losing to Minnesota on Thursday and beating Michigan on Sunday. The Terps were No. 6 in the AP and No. 5 in the Coaches Poll last week.
Not all is lost, of course. The Terps stayed near the top of the ranking, and they have chances for high-quality wins in the next two weeks, before the regular season ends. The Terps visit Purdue on Saturday and Indiana the following weekend, with a home match against Illinois sandwiched between them. If the Terps finish even 2-1, they'll have a good shot to finish higher than where they sit right now.
The Terps also dropped to No. 20 in Ken Pomeroy's rankings, down from No. 13 at this time last week.
Villanova is the top-ranked team in this week's poll for another week. Here's each poll in its entirety:
