Maryland basketball fell to No. 6 in this week's AP Top 25 and No. 5 in the latest Coaches Poll, both out on Monday. After moving to No. 2 in both polls last week, the Terps couldn't hold onto the ranking following a home loss to unranked Wisconsin on Saturday.

Around the Big Ten, Iowa stayed at 4 in the AP and fell to No. 6 after losing to Indiana on Friday. The Hawkeyes also narrowly defeated Minnesota on Sunday, 75-71. Michigan State checks in at No. 8 in the AP and No. 9 in the Coaches Poll after a week in which the Spartans lost to Purdue and won against Indiana. Purdue, which defeated Michigan State but lost to Michigan, is No. 17 in the AP and No. 16 in the Coaches Poll. Indiana, which defeated Iowa and lost to Michigan State, checks in at No. 22 in the AP and No. 21 in the Coaches Poll.

The Terps come in at No. 13 in Ken Pomeroy's latest rankings, behind Michigan State (No. 3) and Iowa (No. 4).

Villanova held onto the top spot in each poll after going 2-0 last week.
