CBSSports Bracketology - Kansas is new No. 1 national seed, Xavier replaces UVA
Xavier is the 4th No. 1 seed in Jerry Palm's latest bracket projection. With Virginia's loss to Virginia Tech, one might have assumed that the Terps would replace Virginia, but Palm put the Musketeers in that spot. Xavier has some nice wins and at 13-1, with their only loss coming against Villanova, you can certainly make an argument for them being there at this point.

SB Nation's Ricky O'Donnell is probably not the first to take notice of Maryland's talent, but even he is aware that while the Terps have been very good thus far this season, there are still much room for improvement.

#3 Terps Play Rutgers Wednesday at XFINITY - Maryland Terrapins Athletics - University of Maryland Terps Official Athletic Site
If Maryland manages to take care of business against the Scarlet Knights this evening, they will open up conference play 3-0 for the first time since the 2001-2002 season, and that was a pretty good year if I recall. However, with their first three victories (potentially) coming against Penn State, Northwestern and Rutgers, the brunt of the Terps conference schedule is still on the horizon.

ICYMI: Here is TT's very own preview of tonights games. Essentially Rutgers=bad, Maryland=good, but alas we are talking about college basketball here and as the great Kevin Garnett would say, "Anything is possible!"

I am sure most of you have heard of the epic one on one basketball fight that occurred between new Maryland head coach DJ Durkin and Jim Harbaugh back when they were both working together. Hear it from Durkin, "It was ugly basketball, let’s put it at that, and I was obviously an assistant coach and I believe in having good job security, so in the end I think Jim pulled that one out. But there was no fouls being called and there was a lot of blood on the court."
