Maryland essentially wrapped up the non-conference portion of their schedule last Sunday with a 20-point win over Marshall at Xfinity Center. The Terps do have one lone non-conference game remaining, against Bowie State, on February 9th.
The Terps enter Wednesday's game with an 11-1 record during the first third of their 2015-2016 campaign. Maryland's only loss came against North Carolina in the B1G-ACC Challenge on December 1st. With conference play underway, the Terps will play 19 games over the next 65 days.
The Nittany Lions have already suffered four losses this season, including to Radford and Duquesne. They have, however, won four of their last five with the lone loss being a one-point defeat to Colorado in the Las Vegas Classic on December 23rd. Here is our PSU preview, giving you all the info you need about Wednesday's clash.
Surprisingly last season, both of Maryland's games against Penn State were close contests, with the Terrapins winning each by a combined nine points. Wednesday's game will be the only time the two teams meet in the regular season this year.
