Maryland basketball commit Kevin Huerter's high school made him their new logo

This is cool.

Maryland basketball recruit Kevin Huerter's name won't be forgotten anytime soon at Shenendehowa Central High School. His team is making sure of that.

Shenendehowa's basketball team has a new logo, and it's literally a tracing of Huerter's body.

"This logo will serve as a reminder of the legacy of excellence you left behind for future Shen basketball players," might be a sentence similar to those uttered by coaches around the country to their seniors every year after the season ends, but most don't get an honor like this.

He now joins Jerry West and Michael Jordan in the elite fraternity of players with logos made in their likenesses, though Huerter's honor is just maybe a little less important.

The four-star shooting guard from Clifton Park, New York is ranked the No. 11 shooting guard in the class of 2017 and the No. 4 player in New York, according to the 247Sports Composite.

He committed to Maryland back in September, and was named New York's Mr. Basketball in March.

Here's his highlight tape for your viewing pleasure:
