The weekly honors just continue to roll in for Maryland men’s lacrosse attacker Jared Bernhardt, earning his fifth Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year award this week to become the first player in league history to earn the award five different times in the same season.

This week’s performance also marks the third consecutive week that Bernhardt has been the Big Ten’s Offensive Player of the Week, and the eighth in a row that at least one Terp has been featured.

The senior put together another stellar performance against Michigan this weekend, tallying seven points on five goals and two assists in the team’s 18-12 victory on Saturday. Bernhardt’s performance now has him at 50 points for the season off of 33 goals and 17 assists, ranking fifth, sixth and tied for 21st in Division I in each of those respective categories.

Bernhardt continues his Tewaaraton campaign on Sunday as the now-No. 1 ranked Terps take on No. 12 Ohio State at 5 p.m.
