Maryland men’s soccer game against Rutgers on Tuesday has been postponed, but not due to positive COVID cases.
Rutgers Athletics decided not to travel to College Park in a decision supported by the Big Ten, the reasons of which are undisclosed.
The last time the Terps faced Rutgers, they fell 0-2 after the Scarlet Knights scored one goal per half and outnumbered Maryland’s shots on goal, 7-4.
So far this season, the Terps are 3-3. After falling to Penn State, Ohio State, and Rutgers, Maryland has been on a three-game win streak, coming out with victories against Wisconsin, Michigan and Michigan State.
Maryland and Rutgers will work with the Big Ten to reschedule the matchup later this season.
