After breaking two program records earlier this week, the Maryland women’s golf team continues to rake in personal accolades. The Big Ten announced senior Virunpat Olankitkunchai was the women’s golfer of the week Wednesday.

A Second-Team All-Big Ten selection last season, Olankitkunchai finished with an overall score of -11 while the team finished second out of 12 teams competing at the FAU Paradise Invitational.

During the tournament, Olankitkunchai’s second-round score of -5 was the lowest round of the invitational, helping set a program and event record for that round.

This is Olankitkunchai’s fourth time receiving the honor, with her last one coming in October 2019.

The team’s next event starts on February 21 in Gainesville, FL at the Gator Invite.
