This is the Maryland Minute, a short story followed by a roundup of Terps-related news.

Maryland volleyball’s Erika Pritchard and Katie Myers were two of 28 players selected to the U.S. Collegiate National Team (Gold Roster), USA Volleyball announced Wednesday.

The Terps are just one of seven schools — including Florida, Minnesota, Ohio State, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin — to have two or more players to make the team.

The duo previously participated in U.S. Women’s National Team Tryouts Feb. 21-23 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Pritchard, who is a rising senior, excelled last season from the outside for the Terps. She led the team with 417 kills, finished second on the team in digs (248) and third on the team in aces (30).

Myers, who is expected to graduate this spring, was selected to the team for the second-straight year and competed in Japan last summer. She completed her senior season as a First Team All-Big Ten selection, ranking first in the conference in blocks (156), second in aces (46) and fourth in hitting percentage (.395).

The Terp duo will train from July 5-12 in Anaheim, California, and compete with the U.S. Women’s National Team as it prepares for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
