After winning The Rivalry in an exhilarating triple-overtime regular season finale Saturday, Maryland men’s lacrosse turns its focus towards the Big Ten tournament. John Tillman and squad will try to clear their heads, and next time the Terps take the field, they’ll be sporting all-new custom helmets.

After an epic battle, the Terps enter the conference tournament as the top-seed, and like Deion Sanders once tweeted, “U look good u feel good, u feel good u play good.” The playoff customs were done by Cascade Lacrosse, who made custom helmets for Maryland’s 2017 matchup with North Carolina and playoff customs for Syracuse and Rutgers this year.

The Terps will start another run at a title on Thursday, beginning with the conference tournament. Maryland will take on Rutgers, with both teams entering the matchup sporting Cascade customs.
In other news
Will Snider’s heroics catapulted him to the spotlight, scoring Maryland’s last two goals to tie the game and win it in The Rivalry’s first triple-overtime game.
Women’s lacrosse is also speeding towards the postseason, right as Louisville transfer Meghan Siverson is starting to peak, from The Diamondback.
Keep an eye on our undrafted free agent tracker. Chandler Burkett and Derrick Hayward were extended mini-camp invites, while Shane Cockerille announced he was joining the Jets over the weekend.
It’s only taken two seasons for former Terp Yannick Ngakoue to establish himself as a top-100 player. He clocked in at No. 88 on NFL Network’s list, after becoming a constant problem for quarterbacks as part of the #Sacksonville defense.

It also didn’t take long for DJ Moore to stop back by College Park after becoming a first round pick. He was on campus Monday and the newest Panther brought a pup.
We have a first round #NFLDraft pick in the house today! And he brought the newest member of his family!! @idjmoore @Panthers #ProTerps pic.twitter.com/KMjVIkqYqr

Though recruiting for the 2019 cycle is just heating up, DJ Durkin is keeping an eye on 2020. Last night, he made an offer to five-star wide receiver Julian Fleming, but it will be an uphill battle for his commitment. Fleming’s the No. 2 player in the class, and you can bet Durkin is using Moore getting drafted as a pitch.
Big thanks to Maryland for the offer #terps pic.twitter.com/aMoZB91hIo
