Maryland women’s lacrosse finished off a 17-0 regular season Thursday with a win at Northwestern. The No. 1 Terps are the top seed and hosts of this week’s Big Ten Tournament.
Maryland will play the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays in the semifinals on Friday, May 5 at 6 p.m. ET at the Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex in College Park.
The second semifinal, which will feature No. 5 Penn State and No. 15 Northwestern, follows this one at 8:30 p.m. The winners of the two games will face off on Sunday, May 7 at noon.

In the first meeting between these two teams, Maryland defeated Johns Hopkins easily, 17-4, also in College Park. Additionally, The Terps’ last two victories came against Penn State and Northwestern, so they will have some familiarity if they advance in the tournament.
Maryland won both of its Big Ten tournament games last year, including a 12-9 victory in the championship game over host team Northwestern.
