In the first meeting between these two teams, Maryland defeated Johns Hopkins easily, 17-4, also in College Park. Additionally, The Terps’ last two victories came against Penn State and Northwestern, so they will have some familiarity if they advance in the tournament.
Maryland won both of its Big Ten tournament games last year, including a 12-9 victory in the championship game over host team Northwestern.
