Maryland soccer alums Graham Zusi and Taylor Kemp called up for USMNT camp

This is the Maryland Minute, a short story followed by a roundup of Terps-related news.

Graham Zusi and Taylor Kemp never played for Maryland soccer at the same time, but they’ll get to unite on the pitch — at least briefly — to represent the USA.

Both were called up to new coach Bruce Arena’s January camp, which means they’ll be around for about a month in Arena’s first camp since being named the team’s new head coach. The camp starts Jan. 10, and goes through the team’s friendly’s against Serbia (Jan. 29) and Jamaica (Feb. 3).

Zusi currently plays for Sporting Kansas City, while Kemp is on D.C. United. Both are defenders.
