Maryland women’s basketball released its 2020-2021 non-conference schedule Monday, with the season set to start in exactly two weeks.

The Terps will kick off the season on Thanksgiving weekend at the #BeachBubble Tournament in Estero, Florida, where they’ll take on Davidson, Missouri State and Arkansas.

Missouri State is ranked at No. 24 and Arkansas is ranked two spots below Maryland, coming in at No. 14, in the preseason AP Top 25 poll, which will make for interesting matchups down in the Sunshine State.

Head Coach Brenda Frese’s team will also host three nonconference games at XFINITY Center. The Terps’ first matchups at home will be against two teams from Baltimore; on Dec. 3, Maryland will take on Towson, and on Dec. 5, it will play Coppin State.

Towson had a 3-9 record for away games in the 2019-2020 season, including a loss to Big Ten opponent, Rutgers. Coppin State, which hired Maryland-great Laura Harper as its head coach over the summer, finished last season with a 3-26 record.

Their final nonconference game in the regular season will be on Dec. 8 against Mount St. Mary’s, which went 20-11 last season, including a loss to Indiana.

Last season, the Terps played 11 nonconference games. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic and the delayed start to the season, Maryland will only face six opponents outside of the Big Ten this year.
