The Class of 2018 hasn’t signed yet, but Brenda Frese’s Class of 2019 is already in full swing.
After the Terps landed a Ashley Owusu, a five-star, top-10 prospect over the weekend, they’ve got their second commit in the class in three-star guard Zoe Young.

From Des Moines, Iowa, Young is rated the No. 7 guard in the country. The 5’9 combo-guard chose Maryland over Iowa State, Louisville, Michigan State and Iowa. It’ll be more than a year before she can make that decision official, but now Young can go out and play with one less thing on her mind for the next couple of seasons.
At Maryland, she’ll play alongside Owusu, 2018 four-star point guard commit Taylor Mikesell and now-freshman Channise Lewis to reload the Terps’ backcourt as they look to make another NCAA Tournament run.
Though ESPN ranks Young a 90 overall, good for three-stars, Prospects Nation, “the leader for women’s basketball recruiting” has her at five stars and the No. 6 overall player in the whole country.
