Defensive tackle Cavon Walker, who played for Maryland football from 2013-17, signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers Thursday.
Walker caught the attention of scouts after leading the XFL in sacks, producing 4.5 in five games played for the New York Guardians.
This isn’t the first stint in the NFL for the 6’2, 287-pound lineman. After going undrafted in 2018, Walker played in preseason for the Chicago Bears. And he participated in training camp for the Kansas City Chiefs last summer.
The former Terp will look to make the most of his third try with an NFL squad.
Nothing but highlights outta #99
