Football Bowl Subdivision teams will be able to replace canceled bowl games after Dec. 19, the NCAA Football Oversight Committee announced Monday.
These matchups must replace a previously scheduled bowl game and will have to feature teams from the originally contracted conferences.
The RedBox Bowl (Big Ten-Pac-12) and the Pinstripe Bowl (Big Ten-ACC) have already been called off this year. If Maryland is eligible for either of these bowl games, under the NCAA FOC’s stipulation, it can schedule a game against a different Pac-12 or ACC school.
These contests will have to be played prior to the conclusion of the calendar year.
