Maryland football had a better day on Sunday than it did on Saturday.
A day after the in-college Terps got throttled 35-14 by Temple, a handful of professional Terps had big days in their respective NFL games.
DJ Moore caught his first career NFL touchdown in the Carolina Panthers’ loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

It looked very much like something he would have done at Maryland.
His teammate and fellow receiver Torrey Smith caught his first touchdown as a Panther earlier in the same quarter.

But the biggest day belonged to the superstar sandwiched between the two aforementioned receivers at Maryland. Stefon Diggs had nine receptions for 128 yards, two touchdowns and a two-point conversion. All three scores came in the fourth quarter. Here they are in order:

When all was said and done, professional Terps outscored the actual Terps 26-14. That’s why they’re professionals.
In other news
On Saturday, Temple either made a leap or Maryland was alarmingly bad. Or both.
Either way, the Terps played poorly. This is what we took away from that game. (The chicken and waffles were okay, though.)
Women’s soccer lost in overtime Sunday afternoon after winning 4-0 on Friday.
Men’s soccer won in overtime.
The volleyball team went 2-1 over the weekend in the Temple Invite.
Field hockey is still undefeated.
Here’s another pro Terp (Toronto FC forward Tsubasa Endoh) dominating yesterday:
