On Maryland football’s offensive play of the season, the Terps took the field with 10 men, choosing to honor fallen teammate Jordan McNair. They lined up with no right guard, where McNair would have played.
Great stuff: @TerpsFootball honors late Jordan McNair on first play, and @TexasFootball declines penalty. pic.twitter.com/uEefAgX5IX

Texas declined the penalty and the game proceeded like it normally would have.
It was a touching moment and just one of several ways the team is honoring McNair this season and in the years to come. Fellow offensive linemen Jack Wagman and Tyran Hunt carried McNair’s jersey out of the tunnel as the team took the field prior to the game. Taivon Jacobs and Brett Kulka carried the jersey to midfield for the coin toss. A ‘79’ flag waved on the sideline.
