The NFL preseason cranks up Thursday night with 12 games, which is fine enough news as we wait for REAL FOOTBAW to come back into our lives. This we’ll get a good look at rookies across the NFL, and that includes Maryland football’s most recent alumni.

Some good news: Thursday night’s action will feature both of Maryland’s 2018 NFL Draft picks, as DJ Moore and Jermaine Carter Jr.’s Carolina Panthers play the Buffalo Bills at 7 p.m. at New Era Field in Orchard Park, N.Y. It’ll also feature Cavon Walker and Josh Woods, undrafted rookie free agents trying to secure their spots, in action with the Chicago Bears against the Cincinnati Bengals. That game’s also at 7.

News that’s less good: It appears that wherever you are, you’ll only be able to catch the local game in addition to whatever is playing on NFL Network. The latter appears to be Browns vs. Giants.
