Maryland football offensive tackle Jordan McNair has been hospitalized following an organized team workout and is in critical but stable condition, the school’s athletic department confirmed in a statement Monday.
“Jordan’s an outstanding young man and a beloved member of our Maryland football family,” head coach DJ Durkin said in a statement. “Our entire program is supporting Jordan and his family during this time. We’re continuing to keep Jordan in our thoughts and prayers.”
McNair was a four-star recruit coming out of McDonogh High School in Baltimore, and was part of the Terps’ historic 2017 recruiting class. He appeared in one game during the 2017 season, making his debut against Towson before redshirting.
“More information will be shared at an appropriate time, and in accordance with the wishes of the family. Our thoughts are with the McNair family,” the team’s statement said.
