Maryland football announced game times for six of its first seven contests Thursday afternoon.
Just like last year, Maryland will kick off the season at noon ET against Texas on Fox Sports 1. This year, though, the Terps will be in the eastern time zone for the game, so it’ll be a true noon kickoff, rather than the 11 a.m. local kickoff in Austin last season.
Week 2 will present an interesting challenge for Maryland fans, as the 6 p.m. game at Bowling Green will be televised on the newly minted ESPN+, the network’s new, premium streaming service.
The Terps will then return home the following week to play Temple in the first half of a home-and-home series at noon on the Big Ten Network. A time for the following week’s game against Minnesota has yet to be announced.
There is no television network information for the following three games, but they’re all scheduled to be played at noon. After a bye week during the last weekend in September, Maryland returns to play at Michigan on Oct. 6. Rutgers will come to College Park for the Terps’ homecoming on Oct. 13, and Maryland will visit Iowa at noon on Oct. 20.
More details for each game, including times and television information, will be released in the weeks leading up to the games, per the program.
