As college football coaches always point out, teams are only guaranteed 12 games. Maryland will be playing its 12th on Saturday, entering with a 5-6 record and needing a win to become bowl-eligible.
Standing in the Terps’ way, though, will be No. 12 Penn State, who comes in with an 8-3 record. The Nittany Lions have dominated this series, leading 38-2-1, and beat Maryland 66-3 in College Park last year. But with the Terps making a serious run at No. 10 Ohio State last weekend, an upset isn’t too far out of the question.
This is your space for observations, commentary and more as the game goes on. As always, be respectful, and go Terps.
