Maryland football is riding high after its blowout win over Minnesota two weeks ago that improved the Terrapins to 3-1, but Michigan has looked even better. The Wolverines won their 4th straight game as they defeated Northwestern 20-17 last week to improve to 4-1.
Saturday’s game will be the toughest test of the season for Matt Canada’s team so far, but the Terps already proved they can handle an upper-echelon opponent with their win over the now-No. 19 Texas Longhorns. Michigan has averaged 37.4 points on offense, led by QB Shea Patterson. The Wolverines’ defense has looked even better, as they have only allowed 14.8 points per game.
Saturday will serve as a chance for the Terps to make another on-field impression on the national stage, as the game will be broadcast on ABC in the noon timeslot.
