Maryland football’s Week 6 journey brings the Terrapins to Ann Arbor, where they’ll play Michigan in what’s going to be a challenge.
Michigan is good, people. The Wolverines are 4-1 coming into Week 6, with that one loss coming to Notre Dame in Week 1. They’re No. 15 in the latest AP Poll, which undersells how good they’ve been. S&P+ has them at No. 7, and gives Michigan an 89 percent chance of victory.
Maryland, meanwhile, is 3-1 with a No. 56 S&P+ ranking. The Terps are coming off a bye week with Matt Canada still serving as head coach. We’re waiting on moves from the University System of Maryland, which oversees an investigation into the football team’s culture, so the program is in a state of limbo until that investigation concludes.
The Wolverines are 17.5-point favorites, and the over/under is 47.5 (both as of Thursday).
