The Maryland-Texas first half was absurd

You just can’t make this stuff up.

NCAA Football: Maryland at Texas John Gutierrez-USA TODAY Sports

Maryland football received the opening kickoff in Texas, ran two plays for a few yards, and then threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown. Everything seemed rather normal, unfortunately.

Then, this happened.

Then Maryland intercepted a long pass and this happened.

Texas missed a field goal (which is actually normal in college football) and Maryland responded with this.

Yeah, that’s Tyrrell Pigrome, who mightily struggled throwing the ball last year, dropping a dime to take a lead against a ranked team on the road. Cool.

BUT THEN, this.

And then Pigrome threw another touchdown, this time to a dude who hasn’t played a game in, like, forever.

AND THEN THEY RECOVERED A NON-ONSIDE KICK KICKOFF. WHAT.

But Texas wasn’t just going to roll over.

And we still have to watch the second half.
