With just weeks before Maryland football’s season opener against Texas, head coach D.J. Durkin took questions from a media scrum Wednesday afternoon about the 2017 season.
The second year head coach brought in the 18th best recruiting class in the country, and plenty of reporters wanted to know how the class is faring in their first taste of collegiate football.
“We’re still early in practice, but we’re allowing those guys to compete in everything, and as many freshman that can play and help us win a championship, that’s how many will play.”
