Recapping Defensive Line Week at Testudo Times

Maryland’s line is a big group of big men, so this was a big week for us.

NCAA Football: Maryland at Florida International Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

We’re inching closer to Sept. 2, when Maryland football kicks off its 2017 season at Texas. To pass the time during the summer, we’ve been dedicating a week to each of the Terps’ position groups and how they shape up entering the fall. After looking at the offense, we switched sides of the ball for Defensive Line Week. If you weren’t around for everything this week (or eight days, to be technical), here it is again.

A closer look

Monday: Welcome to Defensive Line Week
An intro to a position where the starters look set, but there are still question marks.

Wednesday: Who’s the best defensive lineman in Maryland history?
Congrats to Randy White on obliterating everyone else. He took home 1,205 of 1,304 votes for a stunning 92 percent.

Friday: Maryland’s defensive line recruiting history puts it in an interesting spot
The Terps don’t have a lot of proven talent behind this year’s starters, setting up a battle between blue-chip underclassmen and unestablished veterans.
