Maryland football updated its online roster, and eight players with eligibility remaining for 2017 aren’t on it.
David Shaw’s transfer to Montana was announced last month, but starting guard Mike Minter’s absence is the most notable out of the seven other players no longer on the roster.
Offensive linemen EJ Donahue and JaJuan Dulaney, linebackers Gus Little and Brett Zanotto and quarterback Gage Shaffer are the other players absent from the list.
Little’s transfer to James Madison, Burke’s transfer to Rhode Island and Zanotto’s transfer to Duquesne.
Most players on that list saw little to no minutes in 2016, but Minter was a full-time starter at left guard. He figured to resume that spot during his senior season. Without him, former four-star recruit Quarvez Boulware could finally get his shot.
Thanks to multiple people in the comments section for pointing this out.
