Maryland football will play its spring game at 12:30 on April 22, the school announced Monday.
This’ll be fans’ first chance to see a couple of the team’s newest recruits, as heralded secondary signees Deon Jones and Markquese Bell enrolled early and will be participating in spring practice (to what extent each will participate is unclear, as Jones is rehabbing an injury).
“Additional details and promotions regarding the spring game will be released in the weeks leading up to the game,” the school said in a release. The 2016 game featured an autograph session after the game.
Maryland hasn’t sent out a release officially confirming its spring practice schedule, but coaches have been tweeting this graphic out for a few days.

It indicates spring practice starts on Sunday, March 12, and would go for three weeks, leading up to the spring game. This is Maryland’s second spring game under new head coach DJ Durkin. Admission and parking are free, and it’ll be broadcast on BTN2GO.
This will be Maryland’s first spring game in two years that doesn’t feature Perry Hills at quarterback. This could be fans’ first look at transfer sophomore Caleb Henderson, who sat out 2016 due to NCAA transfer rules. Rising sophomores Tyrrell Pigrome and Max Bortenschlager should also see snaps during the game, and walk-on Ryan Brand might, too. Four-star signee Kasim Hill is still in high school and won’t be enrolling until the summer, so he isn’t eligible to play in this one.
