Woods, who was suspended indefinitely before the season started, transferred to Maryland from Lackawanna Community College last winter. Neither he nor the program have stated any reasons for why the suspensions were handed down, but there seems to have been a final straw that caused the move.
Former four-star recruit and fellow defensive back Markquese Bell was also suspended indefinitely at the same time as Woods, but is still with the program. It’s still unknown exactly what caused the initial suspensions, or even if each one is related to the other, or if we’ll ever find out, but this is where we stand right now.
