Conyers had 15 tackles in nine games for Maryland as a junior in 2015, and he has figured to see time as a safety in his senior season. Conyers has rotated between linebacker and the secondary in the past, and he got first-team safety snaps during spring practice. Darnell Savage and Josh Woods have played as the first-team safeties during fall camp, though Conyers has still been on the field plenty.
Conyers, who’s listed at 6’3 and 212 pounds, hails from St. Petersburg, Fla. He signed with Maryland out of junior college in the class of 2014, three years after he’d committed out of high school to play for Florida International.
Best wishes to Conyers on a quick recovery from whatever ails him.
