How they got to College Park
Punters normally get rosters as walk-ons, with some teams devoting a scholarship or two to the position. These players got to Maryland via both routes.
Rubinowicz was part of Maryland’s 2015 class and signed a National Letter of Intent, and it appears he’s on scholarship. Pritchard walked on in 2014 and then started last season. Shrader was a preferred walk-on, and he chose Maryland in part because of then-special teams coordinator Andre Powell.

Some career highlights so far
2016 prospectus
Aussie freshman Wade Lees looks very much the favorite to start, so Pritchard, Rubinowicz and Shrader will need to perform well to get a shot in games.
What a dream season would look like
For any of these players, claiming the starting job would be a success.
The next player in the series...
... plays defense and came to Maryland from a state the Terps don’t usually recruit well.
