Hello all! Welcome to the first day of this season’s bowl games. Maryland football isn’t playing today, but there are five games on tap to keep you amused.
Games start with New Mexico at UTSA at 2 p.m. on ESPN and end with Southern Miss. at Louisiana-Lafayette in the R+L Carriers Bowl at 9, also on ESPN. After a bowl-less Sunday, Central Michigan and Tulsa play in the Miami Beach Bowl on Monday. Maryland plays Boston College in the Quick Lane Bowl a week from then, in case you hadn’t heard.
There is pretty much nothing Maryland fans in particular can take away from this series of games. The Terps’ only opponent from this season that plays today is UCF, if that’s at all interesting. I don’t know. I’m interested because it’s football, and football is good.
