Maryland’s jerseys for this weekend’s game against Ohio State look like they were dipped in a vat of red Mountain Dew

Bold call, Under Armour.

Maryland football has been no stranger to eye-catching uniforms since Under Armour started officially sponsoring the team, and the Terps’ uniforms for Saturday’s game against Ohio State are some of the most, uh, “eye-catchiest” uniforms the team’s worn to date.

These digs probably aren’t the worst we’ve seen Maryland ever wear, but this bright shade of red is sure to stand out when the Terps take the field against No. 6 Ohio State this week.

Most people weren’t thrilled when they saw the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wear similar jerseys last year, but whatever. It’s fine.

This is the fourth time in five weeks that the Terps are wearing all one color. They sported all-black uniforms against Minnesota and Michigan State and white-out unis against Indiana. They went with red-and-white jerseys against Michigan last week, and that didn’t exactly work out.

Just to make things fun, the Buckeyes should wear the same red-and-grey throwbacks(?) they sported last week against Nebraska.

Anyway, Ohio State and Maryland kick off at 3:30 this Saturday on ESPN. The Buckeyes are coming off a 62-3 railroading of Nebraska, while the Terps lost 59-3 to Michigan.
