Maryland football head coach DJ Durkin gave no update on the health of quarterback Perry Hills and cornerback Will Likely in his Tuesday press conference, as he said the staff was “still determining the best course of action” for each.
But on the depth chart for the team’s game against Michigan State, released two hours after he spoke, Hills and Likely are both listed as starters.

Hills is listed as the sole starter at quarterback, while Likely occupies his normal spot at nickel corner and wide receiver. Hills sat out last week’s game against Minnesota will a shoulder injury, and Likely hurt his knee early in the second quarter.
Their status on the weekly depth chart doesn’t guarantee that either will end up starting on Saturday against Michigan State. Hills was listed as the starter last week, but the coaching staff ultimately decided before the game that Tyrrell Pigrome would start instead.
Other notes:
- Maurice Shelton is starting at right guard over Terrance Davis, who started last week.
- Chandler Burkett is listed as co-starter with Jesse Aniebonam at the BUCK.
- Tino Ellis started over JC Jackson at corner last week due to a better performance in practice, Durkin said Monday. This week, the two are listed as co-starters.
