Banks is a 6’1, 190-pound cornerback from Edgewood, Maryland. He’s unrated on the 247Sports Composite, but will soon receive one as a Power 5 commit. Banks received his Maryland offer on June 9, and visited campus shortly thereafter.
Maryland was his only Power 5 offer—he had others from Buffalo, Delaware State, Kent State and Villanova—but his tape shows that he can play. With defensive back guru Aazaar Abdul-Rahim on staff, it’s easy to trust the Terps when it comes to taking commits in the secondary.
He is the seventh commit in the class, which has fallen to No. 62 in the country in the 247Sports team rankings over the past month or so without any new commitments. That number will rise when Banks receives his rating.
