Daniel George, the No. 8 rated recruit in Maryland, committed to Penn State on Sunday evening. The four-star wide receiver was one of four Maryland targets at PSU’s Lasch Bash this weekend.
George has seemed like a Penn State lean for a while, as noted when we last reset Maryland’s recruiting board. It appears the Nittany Lions latest recruiting event sealed the deal for the Oxon Hill, Maryland, native.

George (0.9161) was Maryland’s highest rated receiver target left on the board, having already received two commits for the class of 2018. Three-stars Dontay Demus and Brian Cobb have already signed on, and coach DJ Durkin picked up six receivers in his 2017 class, so Maryland will likely take just one more wideout for 2018.
George was joined at the event by four-star defensive tackle PJ Mustipher, four-star offensive tackle Rasheed Walker and three-star offensive tackle TJ Bradley. All four entered the camp looking like Penn State leans, though George is the only Maryland target to commit so far this weekend.
