It’s expected to be a busy day here as the first-ever college football early signing period gets underway.

Some teams are expected to fill the majority of their 2018 classes during the period, and Maryland is expecting most of its 22 commits to sign Letters of Intent. There’s a lot of good news coming for Terps fans over the next couple days, as the period stretches from Dec. 20-22.

Here’s our early signing period commitment tracker, which we will update as recruits start sending in their letters of intent. We’ll also drop articles on each recruit as their commitments become final.

Head coach DJ Durkin’s third recruiting class currently ranks No. 20 in the nation, which would be his second straight top-25 class if it holds through the traditional National Signing Day on Feb. 7.

When it comes to college football recruiting, you probably fall on some spectrum of “have been following intently for years” and “I’m here because I was told this was important.” Wherever you fall on that spectrum, this open thread is your space to comment, express yourself and have fun. As always, be respectful, and go Terps.
