Mosley attends Haverford High School in Philadelphia, and is the 69th-rated linebacker in the Class of 2018, per the 247Sports Composite. He verbally committed to Maryland back in July, over fellow Big Ten schools Minnesota and Rutgers.
Mosley joins what is a generally strong 2018 linebacker class for Maryland, being the fourth three-star commit for DJ Durkin’s defense.
While leading tackler Jermaine Carter Jr. will be graduating, Maryland still boasts a fairly strong corps of returning linebackers. With Antoine Brooks and Isaiah Davis, the team’s 2nd and 3rd leading tacklers, returning for their junior seasons, it may be some time before Mosley and his fellow 2018 commits to see significant playing time.
Pennsylvania hasn’t necessarily been a strong area recruitment for the Terps in recent years. As of 2015, Maryland has had only three commits from Pennsylvania, Mosley being the fourth. While Durkin has stated publicly his emphasis for recruiting in-state players, getting Mosley could be a big step in landing more players from the southeast Pennsylvania area.
