Three-star receiver Jeshaun Jones will officially announce where he’ll go to college on Wednesday—the first day of the signing period—and now we know that the Terps made the final cut and who their competition is.
This process is a lot harder than I thought it would be. With that being said, here is my Final 4️⃣...‼️ pic.twitter.com/l7sOBgRhW1— Jeshaun Jones (@JeshaunJones06) December 18, 2017
Nebraska, Iowa State and Pitt also made Jones’ top four. He took an official visit to Nebraska on Dec. 8 and one to Iowa State on Oct. 13. He has not officially visited Pitt. Jones’ official visit to College Park was on the weekend of Nov. 11.
Jones would be the fourth receiver in Maryland’s Class of 2018, joining three-stars Darryl Jones, Dontay Demus and Brian Cobbs. The 6’1.5, 176-pound receiver fits the specific mold DJ Durkin and Walt Bell are trying to recruit. All eight receiver commits across the last two classes—with the exception of 5’10 Tahj Capehart—stand at over six feet tall. Before last year’s freshman class arrived, there were only two receivers on the roster over 6’0 and neither played.
Jones will make his college announcement at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20 in the South Fort Myers High School auditorium.
