“Things are very good with Maryland,” he said. “I’m excited to get there in the summer and get to work, start getting ready for Texas.”

Elliot asked Hill who he’s looking to bring with him to College Park. Hill’s had his eye on Calvin Ashley, his teammate at St. John’s.

“Markquese Bell, hopefully he commits on Sunday. Ellis Brooks for sure, and always talking to Calvin.”

Ashley’s a five-star offensive tackle who’s been committed to Auburn for a while, but now has Maryland commits Hill, Cam Spence and Kofi Warldow in his ear.

“I know he has some interest in Maryland,” Hill said. “I don’t know any percentages or anything like that, but it always makes a difference when you’ve had kids you’ve played with going there. We have a good relationship.”
