Maryland football makes Georgia LB Malik Horton’s top 8

This is the Maryland Minute, a short story followed by a roundup of Terps-related news.

Maryland football made the top eight for Georgia linebacker Malik Horton, he announced Wednesday on Twitter.

Horton, a three-star recruit, is the No. 82 outside linebacker in the class of 2017 and the No. 119 player in Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite. The Terps offered him in July.

Horton is high school teammates with Maryland wide receiver commit Sean Nelson. Maryland has one outside linebacker committed in the class so far in Ayinde Eley, but the Terps are definitely need of depth at the position.
